In detail ## Boiler faults in detail Below are the faults we are called to most often, and what each one usually means once the covers are off. ### Ignition and lockout faults Boilers that will not light, light and drop out, or lock out repeatedly. Causes range from gas supply and pressure problems to failed ignition components, blocked condensate and flue faults. We test rather than assume, because the same fault code can point at several different causes depending on the appliance. ### Heating but no hot water, or hot then cold Usually a failed diverter valve on a combi, or a plate heat exchanger scaled up by hard water.
